 The Teapot Party was founded by Willie Nelson two days following his arrest in Texas on Nov. 26. After getting its start on Facebook, the TPP is coming out of the computer closet with a national day of meetups on Wed., Dec. 15. More than 420 meetups have been scheduled across the country.Here's the Teapot Party Meetups agenda: 1. Introductions 2. The purpose of the Teapot Party: Tax It, Regulate It, Legalize It a. What you can do locally to change the marijuana laws. b. Ongoing legislation statewide or locally. c. Network with other organizations like NORML, MPP, SSDP and ASA. d. Share personal marijuana arrest stories. 3. The motto of the Teapot Party: We Lean a Little to the Left a. Other "left" issues besides marijuana legalization. b. How to integrate those who "lean a little to the right" into the TPP. 4. Endorsing candidates a. Make list of candidates and incumbants running locally or statewide in 2011. b. Note who supports our main cause. c. Possible TPP candidates who may run in 2011. 5. More meetups a. Work towards bigger meetups on Jan. 18, 2011. b.
